Maine active shooter identified as weapons expert who remains on the run: report
The gunman being sought by a widespread dragnet for allegedly slaying 22 people in three separate locations around Lewiston Maine on Wednesday night has been identified and remains outstanding.
Robert Card, 40, has been officially named as the man who was photographed on CCTV images carrying a large rifle with a scope, according to the Lewiston Police Department.
"Law Enforcement is attempting to locate Robert Card... as a person of interest regarding the mass shooting at Schemengees Bar and Sparetime Recreation this evening," reads the post. "Card should be considered armed and dangerous.

"Please contact law enforcement if you are aware of his whereabouts."
The man is said to hail from Boutin, Maine, and reportedly well a trained firearms instructor who serves in the Army Reserve stationed out of Saco, Maine, Maine law enforcement sources told the New York Post.
Then paper also noted that Card was said to have been “hearing voices” and even made threats to shoot up the National Guard Base where he was stationed .
Cops believe that Card was driving a white Subaru Outback as he turned three different locations into homicidal crime scenes.
Cops say the murder spree started at Sparetime Recreation on Mollison Way at around 7:15 p.m. Shortly afterward, cops were dispatched to a shooting at Schemengees Bar & Grille on Lincoln Street. And then they was another shooting an hour later reported at the Walmart Distribution Center on Alfred A Plourde Parkway, according to the Sun Journal.
