Lentils are a dinner staple in most parts of India. India's dependence on Canada for lentils is likely to fuel food inflation when the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is watching prices closely. India is already facing high inflation in pulses which was at 13% last month, the highest in all food categories followed by cereals.
