India's para-athletes have won their 16th gold medal at the Asian Para Games, and also surpassed their previous best medal tally of 72 medals from 2018. Nithya Sre, who won a bronze medal in the Women's Singles SH6 event, won the historic 73rd medal to play her part in the Indian contingent's historic achievement, surpassing their previous best performance of 72 at the 2018 Asian Para Games.
