My Snickers breakfast is proof healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring – the chocolate recipe helped me lose 55 lbs
FOOD cravings can still be satisfied when losing weight, according to one woman who lost 55 pounds.
Her Snickers breakfast was proof, she said, that healthy eating didn’t have to be boring.
She credited her chocolate recipe for helping her shift the pounds.
This dish was a far cry from weight-loss recipes from the past.
No mention of cucumbers, lettuce leaves or grapefruit in this post.
Instead, Brittany (@brittanymccrystal), who has 694,000 followers, presented an option that looked lip-smacking good.
It should be no surprise, however, from this TikToker.
She has successfully shifted 55 pounds on similar meal ideas like this: “Look and feel good without restrictions,” she said.
Her assertion that “healthy eating does not need to be boring,” should be music to the ears of dieters everywhere.
Her healthy girl Snickers overnight oats contained 444 calories and 31g of protein.
“This was one of my go-to breakfasts that helped me shed 55 pounds,” she wrote.
It was easy to make. First, she made 45g of oats and mixed that with 70g of creamed unsweetened almond milk, 25g of protein powder, and a few drops of sweetener and vanilla extract.
“The cream mixture is the perfect base for your breakfast,” she said.
Then it was time for the next stage and she took 10g of powdered peanut butter and mixed it with some water until it was smooth and creamy.
“Add the peanut butter on top of your oats,” she explained.
Then finally: “Take 20g of 80% dark chocolate and melt in the microwave with 3g of coconut oil. Pour over the oats and sit it in the fridge overnight.”
“Chocolate for breakfast,” she said with total relish as she tucked in.
There were 16,000 likes to her post.
“Omg yes, thank you,” said one fan.
Chocolatiers Zotter backed up Brittany’s approach to weight loss.
They said: “Depriving yourself of all the foods you love won’t lead to sustainable weight loss.
“Instead, it’s important to enjoy all things in moderation. That means that you can eat chocolate on a diet and still lose weight.”
