Israeli troops launch ground raids into Gaza before wider incursion
The Israeli Defense Forces have announced the execution of an operation in the northern Gaza Strip. These forces stated that Israeli tanks launched an attack in the northern Gaza Strip to prepare the ground for the subsequent stages of the battle.
The Israeli army added that its troops withdrew from Gaza after completing the operation.
The Israeli Defense Forces said on their social media platform X, “In these attacks, Israeli soldiers targeted the terrorist forces, their infrastructure, and anti-tank missile positions, and after these operations, they withdrew from the area.”
Simultaneously, the Israeli army radio announced that the country had conducted a “relatively extensive” ground operation inside the Gaza Strip.
According to this report, this is the most prominent Israeli ground operation in Gaza since the current war with Hamas started.
Meanwhile, The Israeli army reportedly targeted more than 400 Hamas targets and killed dozens of Hamas fighters in these attacks. Additionally, the Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that around 305 Palestinian children lost their lives in the past 24 hours, and at least 173 women are among the casualties of these attacks.
In the past day, approximately 704 Palestinians tragically lost their lives due to Israeli airstrikes, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. These casualties have accumulated since the beginning of Israel’s bombardment of besieged areas earlier this month.
This escalation of violence in the Gaza Strip has resulted in a dire humanitarian crisis. Earlier, the United Nations had warned that the lives of at least 120 newborn infants in incubators were at risk due to the depletion of hospital fuel supplies amid the complete blockade of Gaza.
