I dread sharing photos of my bald spots but I will now I’ve found a cure, it worked in two months
A BEAUTY influencer has shared the cure for her dreaded bald spots.
The content creator explained the product worked within months, helping her relieve anxiety over her hair loss.
Jade Beguelin (@jadebeguelin) shared the video with over 130,000 TikTok followers.
She explained she had alopecia areata, a disease that causes hair loss, often occurring on the scalp, leading to a bald spot on her head.
She provided a five-month update on her progress since she started a new treatment.
“There’s no photo I dread sharing on the internet than the photo behind me,” she said, revealing her bald spot.
She explained the cure that made the biggest difference for her was also the most recommended piece of advice she was given.
“It was to go to a dermatologist and get cortisone shots and to do it as soon as you see a spot,” she said.
She explained she made a next-day appointment and did it again once she spotted a second bald spot.
Her second piece of advice was to regularly take Wellbel, a hair and nails supplement.
“I was taking them another time when I was dealing with hair loss and that was because I was going off birth control and my hair was shedding a ton,” she said.
Although the supplements helped in terms of the speed of her hair growth, she emphasized what helped the most with her bald spots were the shots.
According to NYU Langone Health, steroid treatments can assist those with alopecia areata.
“Steroid treatments can take place every four to six weeks, and you may see hair regrowth in one or two months.
“If your hair doesn’t grow, or if you can’t tolerate needles, a dermatologist may prescribe corticosteroid to be taken by mouth for 8 to 10 weeks,” it said.
