These are the best creators on food TikTok you need to follow for mouth-watering content

With a whopping 53.4 million followers on TikTok, Japanese TikToker Bayashi is known for his cooking ASMR videos. 

A typical Bayashi video features the satisfying sounds of chopping and ingredients squelching together, as the camera focuses on the creator's hands preparing food on his wooden countertop before he tries his creation at the end of the clip. 

The aesthetic of his videos typically has a very clean and polished look, which often focuses especially on the sounds created during his cooking. Some of his most well-known videos have involved stacking sheets of cheese into large towers for recipes.

British TikToker Poppy O'Toole describes herself as a "Michelin-trained chef turned POTATO QUEEN," in the bio on her account.

Insider previously reported that O'Toole began an apprenticeship at a Michelin Star restaurant in Birmingham when she was 18, and then began cooking in London. She was then laid off during the pandemic and began posting on TikTok. 

O'Toole has produced a number of series on TikTok about different ways to cook potatoes, and this has become her signature ingredient on the app.

Tiffy Chen (@tiffycooks) is most-known on TikTok for posting Asian food content. 

According to Chen's website, she was born in Taiwan but moved to Vancouver, Canada, during her high school years, and developed her passion for cooking Asian food when she went to university and experienced homesickness. 

Chen has filmed herself cooking a number of Asian-inspired dishes on TikTok, where she has 3.2 million followers. Several of her videos on the app focus on quick or "realistic" dinner recipes for people to make at home. 

Gabrielle Williams, whose TikTok username is @gabby.jaye, has a following of 2.1 million on TikTok and became popular by recreating dishes as seen in popular Disney films. 

For example, in a video posted in January 2021, Williams made the rice porridge from Disney's 1998 film "Mulan," which a tiny dragon character named Mushu serves to the title character with toppings of eggs and bacon in the shape of a smiley face. 

Williams has also made recipes from other Disney films, including the famous ratatouille from Disney Pixar's "Ratatouille" and the gumbo from the 2009 film "The Princess and the Frog." 

She has since branched out to making food and drinks seen in other popular movies, such as "Mean Girls" and "The Princess Diaries."

Ryan Peters (@peterspasta) is the name behind a notorious series on TikTok where the creator doubles the amount of egg yolks used in his pasta recipe in each episode. 

The series has led Peters to create a pasta recipe using an immense vat filled with 10,000 egg yolks in a collaboration with the biggest YouTuber in the world, MrBeast. 

Peter's huge pasta concoctions have gone immensely viral on TikTok, showcasing the creator, who is a chef based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, according to his website, working hard to knead the eggs and flour into a pasta dough. 

The TikToker has previously filmed himself donating the pasta to local causes.

Ryan Tater, whose TikTok username is @letskwook, has posted a range of recipe videos on TikTok, but a prominent theme in his content is trying and rating recipes from various countries around the world. 

For example, Tatar has been posting a series where he makes the national dishes of different countries and scores them at the end in a hunt to find his favorite national dish from around the globe. 

Tatar has also made and scored other categories of dishes from different countries around the world, such as breakfasts and Christmas food.

Emily Mariko blew up on TikTok in 2021 after her recipe for a rice bowl with salmon and avocado went viral and became a huge trending recipe on the platform, Insider previously reported. 

Users on TikTok flocked to make Mariko's rice bowls at home themselves, and it still remains popular on the app years later. 

Mariko's cooking content is aesthetically pleasing, often featuring neat containers and vibrant colors, and there's also an emphasis on ASMR, as she is often silent in her videos as she captures the noises from the cooking process.

Maya Leinenbach, whose TikTok username is @fitgreenmind, has 1.6 million followers on TikTok, where she shares vegan recipes. 

Leinenbach is based in Germany, according to her YouTube channel, and on TikTok, she has previously shown viewers how to make vegan alternatives for various foods, such as vegan mayo and vegan tuna. 

She has also previously devoted several videos to showing people different ways to cook tofu.

"Tofu is boring? I know so many people who believe that, but that's totally wrong," she said in a post from January 2021.

Alexandra Johnsson (@simplefood4you), who is based in Sweden, according to her TikTok bio, posts recipes that appear to be focused on simplicity. A video posted by Johnsson in March 2022 showcasing a "simple creamy pasta" has received 29.5 million views. 

Her posts often don't involve her speaking live or doing a voiceover, and instead focuses on her putting the meals together. The most popular video that has been pinned to her account is a recipe for a wrap with a burger patty inside of it, which has received 90.4 million views. 

Eloise Head (@fitwaffle) is a popular dessert content creator with 5.7 million TikTok followers. 

She's posted a vast range of dessert recipes, from brownies to cakes to cookies, which often involve only a handful of ingredients. 

An ASMR cooking video posted in 2022 showing the creator's recipe for a cheesecake using Kinder chocolate bars has received an immense total of over 119 million views, and this is the highest-viewed video that has been pinned on her account.
