CT Amazon delivery driver arrested, accused of sexually assaulting elderly woman

An Amazon delivery driver was arrested Wednesday and charged with sexually assaulting an elderly woman in Norwalk, police said.

The case began in May, when the Norwalk Police Department‘s Patrol Division received a complaint of a sexual assault of an elderly female.

During the investigation, detectives from the Special Victims Unit learned that Gabriel Alexis Alfaro, an Amazon delivery driver, allegedly sexually assaulted the victim while giving her a ride from Fairfield to Norwalk, according to police.

Based on the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued by Stamford Superior Court. On Thursday, Special Victims Unit detectives arrested Alfaro at his Rocky Hill home with the assistance of the Rocky Hill Police Department, police said.

Alfaro is charged with fourth-degree sexual assault. He was being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 8, according to police.
