Truth about rapist Craig’s murder revealed in Emmerdale as Caleb Milligan hides major secret
VILLAINOUS Caleb Milligan is keeping yet another major secret and Lydia Dingle is determined to have it out in the open.
The beloved Emmerdale cleaner goes on the hunt for answers next week after Craig Reed’s death. What will she discover?
ITV viewers suspected that Sam Dingle (played by James Hooton) would be taking action after finding out his wife Lydia (Karen Blick) was raped by Craig Reed (Ben Addis).
Lydia and Craig share a heavy history together and rekindled a bond upon his initial arrival in the eponymous village.
However, after some friendly moments, it became clear Craig was wanting more from a married Lydia.
Caught up in the chemistry, Lydia knew it was time she needed to let Craig down gently after they nearly kissed.
But in heart-breaking scenes, Craig didn’t take “no” for an answer and raped Lydia, leaving her a shell of her former self.
In most recent scenes of the Yorkshire-based program, Sam turned to his half-brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), making it clear he wanted Craig to pay for hurting Lydia.
The cleaner once tried to report her assault to the police but with the Emmerdale tough man as her brother-in-law, soap fans were convinced Craig’s comeuppance would involve bloodshed.
This is confirmed next week when Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) finds Craig’s lifeless and bloodied body on the Home Farm estate, where Lydia works.
Convinced one of her close relatives must be behind Craig’s death, Lydia gathers the Dingles round in The Woolpack and searches for answers.
Cain and Sam are immediately suspected of wrongdoing but there’s another brother capable of the worst – Caleb Milligan (Will Ash).
Although he has become a part of the Dingle clan, Caleb was initially one of the biggest villains in the eponymous village and went as far as to involve his own son Nicky in his devious plans.
More recently, he was caught up with criminal Harry who left him bloodied and beaten after he refused to keep guns for him.
But could Caleb’s list of wrongdoings really include murder?
After interrogating several members of the Dingle family next week, Lydia’s focus shifts to Caleb and Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).
The pair offer their account of the day when it’s their turn to reveal all they know.
