Khalil Mack’s Recent Remarks About Justin Fields Are Quite Intriguing
Once again, the Chicago Bears found themselves in an embarrassing game on national television, this time at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers. Tyson Bagent had a challenging second career start, and Khalil Mack, formerly a Bear and now a Charger, provided some valuable insights on the young quarterback after the game. However, the most intriguing comment emerged at the end of Mack’s answer.
“You could tell the clock in his head was running today. He was getting the ball out pretty quick. He did some good things for them down the stretch. I know he’s going to be a special player, but I’m glad No. 1 wasn’t out there tonight.“
Khalil Mack is still a believer in Justin Fields
You might argue that Mack is simply being kind to his former teammate, but I genuinely find value in his words. When asked about Tyson Bagent, Mack decided to still bring up Justin Fields even though he did not suit up on Sunday. This highlights Justin’s potential as a player. It’s worth noting that he was ranked as the 74th best player in the league on the NFL top 100 list, a ranking primarily done by current players. I’m not saying that Fields presence would have altered the game’s outcome, but I do believe it could have made the game more competitive and enjoyable.
In my opinion, Khalil Mack shares this view as well. Man, I miss 52.
