'Beyond stupid': MSNBC's Mika rips Trump's 'rudeness' in a fraud trial he already lost
MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski questioned the wisdom of Donald Trump attacking the judge in his fraud trial and acting rudely in court.
New York judge Arthur Engoron has already found the former president liable for fraud in the $250 million lawsuit brought by attorney general Letitia James, and the "Morning Joe" co-host criticized Trump for antagonizing the sole authority to decide how much he would pay in penalties at the conclusion of the bench trial.
"I want to stay focused on the civil trial in New York," Brzezinski said. "It seems, although I could be wrong, you let me know, it seems it's moving right along. They have a schedule. After the kids testify and Trump testifies, they're wrapping it up. While these other cases, it's, you know, Trump delay, delay, delay, delay, delay every step of the way, if they can, with tons of different interruptions. This one seems to be moving quickly."
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
"Again, the judge has already decided, right, that he's liable – is that the word to use – of massive fraud," Brzezinski added. "What is being decided here is exactly what the penalty is going to be, how expensive it is going to be for Donald Trump, which makes his rudeness in the court and his Truth Social posts just beyond stupid, because all of that impacts how the judge feels about this case."
