I used to get sad about my squishy belly, now I realize it’s my best feature, crop top and low hung skirts are the one
A CONTENT producer has admitted she used to get sad about her squishy belly.
But she has a whole different mindset these days and wouldn’t change her cuddly midriff area for anything.
It is, she has come to realize, her best feature.
She will not, therefore, be hiding away. Instead, she wants to show her curves off.
Olivia Kirby’s (@oliva-kirby) fans seemed to agree with her decision.
One fan gushed: “I was captivated by the marvelous squish.”
In her post, she wore a multi-colored crop top with a low-hung skirt. Her blonde hair cascaded around her shoulders.
But she didn’t look very happy and the source of her discontent was her ample stomach area.
“Me being sad about how squishy I am,” she said as she grabbed her midriff area.
But Olivia’s mood changed in the middle of her video. Her beaming smile returned as gave her squishy tummy due credit.
“Remember it’s what makes me extra cuddly,” she wrote.
“Did someone ask for a human pillow?”
For this lady, who has 815,000 followers, it is all about confidence and self-belief.
“You deserve to be comfortable in your own skin,” she mused. “I just love being cuddly.”
Commenters were wowed by her curvy shape and there was no squishy tummy dissent here.
One person said: “Seriously, the confidence just makes all the difference You look amazing.”
“Fluffy, cuddly and gorgeous,” was the reaction of another.
From a third person there was only gratitude.
“I’m so glad you exist! Because of you and your amazing videos, I feel much better about my body, especially with my belly. Thank you so much.”
Stylist and image consultant Imogen Lamport has often had to persuade her clients that a tummy that shows is healthy.
Washboard stomachs are not necessarily the look to aspire to.
She said: Time and time again when I ask clients about what they’d like to highlight and camouflage on their body stomachs come up as a place that they dislike and want to make disappear.
“Most of the time these are normal stomachs. I see a lot of stomachs in my job as an image consultant and personal stylist.
“I can tell you that women’s stomachs are supposed to curve outwards, that’s completely normal.”
In conclusion, she said: “Women have extra internal organs than men do (think about it) that fill out extra space down there.”
