Singer Pink Condemns Hamas and Violence At ‘Hate-Filled’ Protests Around the World

American singer-songwriter P!nk took to social media on Monday to speak out about the Israel-Hamas war, denouncing the terrorist organization and also calling out the violent protests taking place around the world as Israel continues its ground offense against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

“Any violence or hate-filled demonstrations taking place around the world are making the problem worse, not better,” read an Instagram post uploaded by the Just Give Me a Reason singer, who is Jewish, on Monday. “Prejudice and acts of hate toward any one group is unacceptable,” the post also said. The mother-of-two, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore,  posted the same message on social media on Saturday.

Since Hamas’ deadly rampage in Israel on Oct. 7, when terrorists killed 1,400 Israelis and took more than 200 civilians hostage, massive, aggressive and often threatening pro-Palestinian and “Free Palestine” protests have taken place in the US and around the world, both in cities and on college campuses. Late last week, a Jewish student draped in an Israeli flag was violently assaulted by pro-Hamas demonstrators at Tulane University in New Orleans and had his nose broken. Earlier that week, a pro-Palestine demonstrator at Tulane attempted to burn an Israeli flag.  Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters also broke into an airport in Russia on Sunday evening, hoping to attack Jewish passengers on flight that had just arrived from Tel Aviv, Israel.

P!nk condemned Hamas and called for the return of those kidnapped by the terror group.

“Hamas is a terrorist organization that seeks to destroy Jews. They also murder and oppress women, the LGBTQIA+ community and political opponents,” wrote the Grammy-winning singer. “Palestinians need a solution that honors their aspirations and their humanity. Neither Palestinians nor Israelis can exist peacefully under the threat of Hamas.”

“Protecting innocent civilian life must remain of utmost priority. No one should celebrate the murder of women and children. Ripping down images of kidnapped children is inhumane,” she added, referencing the fact that videos and photos being circulated on social media show many anti-Israel supporters tearing down posters displayed around the world that feature images of the hostages taken by Hamas.

P!nk wrote in the caption of the Instagram post: “THE ONLY THING I HATE IS YOUR HATRED. Hatred itself. I pray for all of us. I PRAY FOR YOU.”

The singer said earlier this month she received many threats after it was believed that she flew Israeli flags at one of her concerts during her ongoing world tour.
