November 1, 2023 – TPT Conservation Volunteers Workday (Penistone)
We’re returning to the Hornthwaite area, where we worked in June cutting back some of the overhanging branches. This time we’ll be slightly further west, approaching the cutting and the bridge over Hornthwaite Hill Road, continuing to remove overhead branches and some vegetation to lighten the area.
Date: Wednesday 1st November
Time: 10am – 4pm
Location: Hornthwaite – a short mile from the show ground travelling towards Dunford Bridge. Click here for a map of the worksite and meeting point
Further Info:
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided as usual morning and afternoon – but you’ll need to bring a mug to put it in!
New volunteers are always welcome – you don’t need to let us know you’re coming; you can just turn up on the day and we’ll make sure you feel welcome and know what you’re doing. If you can’t stay for the whole day that’s no problem; you are welcome to come for an hour or two if that suits you better. If you’d like to know more before venturing out just drop me an email, or you’re welcome to ring for a chat on 077 043 33445.
Cancellation – if the forecast changes again, please do check your inbox before setting out – any cancellation will be by 7pm Tuesday evening.
