I see a common mistake as an interior designer – fixing it makes the biggest difference, my tips will look more high-end
AN interior designer has revealed how to fix a common mistake.
She said it would make a big difference in the look of your bedroom.
TikToker Kate from Interior Design Bestie (@interiordesignbestie) shared a major tip.
“This is going to make the biggest difference and it’s a really common mistake,” she said via TikTok.
“I see it a lot when people hire me to design their bedroom,” Kate added.
She said your bedroom will look like it was designed by a professional if someone has a bedframe or headboard.
“It really devalues their decor and overall kind of makes the space look unfinished,” the designer explained.
She said there are ways that professionals incorporate bedframes in a “super simple” but chic way.
“At the absolute least, a headboard is a must for me,” Kate said.
Bedrooms traditionally have a lot of furniture, and a headboard can “balance the weight of nightstands” on either side of the bed.
But not any headboard will do. Kate suggested choosing a frame that is neutral in color and simple.
“It’s going to last longer but all look high-end, which is exactly what we’re going for,” she said.
Just because they look expensive, doesn’t mean they have to be expensive.
Kate shared her “go-to list of bed frames” that are all under $250 on Amazon.
“These are my favorite ones,” she promised. “They are tried and true and you can read all the reviews. They are so good.”
“These are worth it and I recommend them all the time,” Kate finished.
The cheapest option on Kate’s list is the Osfvolr bed frame, which retails for $76.
She also said that she likes the YUHUASHI metal bed frame, which sells for $193.
Placing a headboard against the room’s longest can also help you sleep better, according to expert Ryan Thaker told Livingect.com.
“Choosing this spot for your bed will not only help you fall asleep faster, but it will also improve the quality of your sleep, too,” the professional told the outlet.
