Indonesia's inflation rate rises slightly in October

JAKARTA, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's annual inflation rose in October, driven by rising prices of food, drinks and tobacco, according to Statistics Indonesia (BPS) on Wednesday.

According to the BPS, the consumer price index was recorded at 2.56 percent year-on-year in October, up slightly compared to the previous month of 2.28 percent, due to raised prices of necessities such as rice.
