'Something's up': Morning Joe and Mika speculate about Donald Trump Jr's erratic behavior
Donald Trump's two adult sons are scheduled to testify in the $250 million civil fraud trial, and MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski cringed at the prospect of his namesake son taking the stand.
Both men are executive vice presidents for the Trump Organization, but the "Morning Joe" co-hosts expressed concern about Donald Trump Jr.'s erratic behavior in video rants he posts online attacking his father's enemies.
"I don't know if I'd want to lead with him," Scarborough said.
"Eric Trump will take the stand tomorrow," Brzezinski said. "Ivanka Trump and former President Trump will testify next week."
"I haven't seen him in a while," Scarborough added. "Junior, not a whole lot."
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
"He does like stuff on Insta," Brzezinski said, referring to his video diatribes on Instagram.
"He doesn't do that much anymore," Scarborough said.
"It's not good when he does it," Brzezinski added. "Something's up."
"Something is up," Scarborough agreed.
"He doesn't feel good or something," Brzezinski said.
"He is excited," Scarborough offered.
"No, there's like a hyperactivity or something," Brzezinski said.
"He's up here," added co-host Willie Geist.
"Anywho," Brzezinski said, as Scarborough urged her to read from the teleprompter.
"I'm sorry to bring that up," Scarborough said.
"I follow – I kind of watch," Brzezinski said. "I can't help it."
"The former president has continued to rant about the case online, including this Truth Social post where he called out New York attorney general Letitia James and posted her picture in court," she continued. "Now there's a limited gag order on the case, but it does not cover speaking about the attorney general or the judge. Wow, he's immature."
