At least one worker trapped at collapsed Kentucky coal preparation plant has died, governor says

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear says at least one of two workers trapped at a collapsed coal preparation plant in eastern Kentucky has died. Officials say crews were working Wednesday to rescue the two men trapped after the collapse of an 11-story building at the plant that was being demolished at an abandoned mine site. Kentucky Emergency Management says the building at Martin Mine Prep Plant collapsed around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, trapping the workers beneath multiple floors of concrete and steel and teams are working to rescue them. Officials say several rescuers were inside the rubble as part of the rescue effort.
