'It's optics': Alina Habba slams court for dismissing Ivanka but not Trump sons
Alina Habba, an attorney for Donald Trump, slammed a New York court and prosecutors on Wednesday because her client's children were being forced to testify in a $250 million fraud trial.
During an interview on Real America's Voice, host Gina Loudon accused the court of conducting a "banana republic style" trial.
"That's absolutely true," Habba agreed, noting that sons Eric and Don Jr. were named as defendants in the case.

"They're not just bringing them up on the stand," she said. "They've listed them as defendants. They are effectively saying, oh, they were part of this fraud because they were employees of the Trump organization. So they listed them."
Habba pointed out that "Ivanka is no longer a defendant in this matter, but the boys are still in it."
The Trump lawyer attacked New York Attorney General Letitia James for the prosecution.
"It's optics. It's headlines," she said.

"I know you'll see Letitia come out the day that Don and Eric testify and the president and his kids and make a statement outside about the continuous fraud in hopes that she can again move forward with her career. Don't forget, she's a failed gubernatorial candidate who ran and then had to withdraw."
"So this is, again, a way to tie up Trump so that he can't be on the campaign trail where he wants to be," she concluded.
