Fed chair holds press conference: Watch live

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is slated to hold a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

Powell recently signaled that more rate hikes could be on the way if inflation remains high.

The “core” Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index rose 0.3 percent in September, weighing in at a 3.7 percent annual rate, down from 3.9 percent in August.

The event is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. ET.
