Person struck by train at Herald Square subway station: officials
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- A person was stuck by a train in Midtown, Manhattan on Wednesday, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY.
The incident took place at 12:40 p.m. inside the 34th Street-Herald Square subway station, officials said.
Authorities believe the person fell onto the tracks, an MTA spokesperson said. They were taken to Bellevue Hospital. The person suffered severe injuries to the head and leg, the MTA spokesperson said.
Service on the B and D lines was severely disrupted in both directions, NYC Transit tweeted.
