‘Survivor 45’ winner predictions: Emily Flippen overtakes Katurah Topps to lead racetrack odds
All season long, Gold Derby users have been making their predictions for who they think will win “Survivor 45.” For the first four weeks of this 45th season, 35-year-old civil rights attorney Katurah Topps held the top spot in our racetrack odds. But she’s recently been overtaken by 28-year-old investment analyst Emily Flippen. Emily started out the competition as an outcast on the Lulu tribe who didn’t really fit in, but thanks in part to Kaleb Gebrewold‘s tutelage, she has since become a much more self-aware player. Can she continue her momentum all the way to finale night?
Here are the current racetrack odds (updated November 1) derived from our users’ “Survivor 45” winner predictions:
1. Emily Flippen — 19/5 odds
2. Dee Valladares — 4/1 odds
3. Austin Li Coon — 9/2 odds

In the first stage of the competition, Jeff Probst separated the 18 castaways into three tribes: Lulu, Belo and Reba. Lulu by far was the weakest of the three tribes … and it wasn’t even close. In fact, two of the original Lulu players essentially threw in the towel — Hannah Rose, who actually quit, and Sean Edwards, who did receive a proper vote-out. Two additional Lulu castaways, Brandon Donlon and Sabiyah Broderick, were also booted during the first few weeks.
The only other person to leave Season 45 prior to the merge was Brando Meyer, who was betrayed by Emily after she swapped over to his Belo tribe. That cemented Emily’s place at the new Belo camp alongside her new allies, Austin and Drew. Brando’s elimination left just 13 people in the game, and all of them were about to be told, “Drop your buffs,” as the merge finally arrived in Fiji during the November 1 episode.
