Trump-connected influencers are feuding online over their behavior at Mar-a-Lago
Influencer etiquette at Mar-A-Lago — the place Special Counsel Jack Smith contends Donald Trump stored top secret documents in violation of national security laws — sparked a virtual fist-throwing fight on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday.
“We memed ... your goofy a-- for MONTHS and when you saw me in person REPEATEDLY at Mar-a-lago, you didn't say S---,” wrote MAGA life coach Brenden Dilley of his interaction with Republican influencer Rob Smith at the Trump estate where FBI agents say they uncovered 11,000 official documents, 17 of them marked top secret.
This et tu? moment was spurred by an incendiary post from Laura Loomer, an influencer and fan of Trump, who Smith contends stored the official documents on a ballroom stage during a period of time when Mar-A-Lago hosted tens of thousands of guests.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
Loomer took to Elon Musk’s social media site to call out Rob Smith for being a supporter of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the presidential candidate whose latest publicity woe has America asking if he can run in high heels.
“Remember all those influencer dinners you went to with @ChristinaPushaw and all of the other paid DeSantis influencers?” Loomer wrote. “Now that you realize what a loser Ron is, and how right I was about him, you want to pretend like you never supported Ron.”
Loomer also boasted she had “an encyclopedic memory” for screenshots and promised to tell Trump’s entourage campaign team “how phony” Smith is.
“You condemned me months ago for making a joke about DeSantis’s bimbo foreign agent ‘rapid response director,’” Loomer decreed. “Let me remind you of what a grifter you are.”
In response, Smith skewered Loomer over her icy behavior at Mar-A-Lago, where court records show agents found documents relating to U.S. weapon capabilities, nuclear programs, and potential military vulnerabilities.
“Lol pathetic Loomer,” replied Smith. “I was 3 feet away from you at Mar-A-Lago and you didn’t say s— to me. I keep it real. I don’t have to humiliate myself for any candidate, unlike you.”
