Our family of 14 all share the same bathroom – I swear by £1 Home Bargains buy to clean it but towels are a nightmare
A MUM-of-12 has revealed the £1 wonder product she swears by to keep the family bathroom gleaming.
Zoe Sullivan, 44, husband Ben and their 12 kids make up one of Scotland’s biggest families.
The couple are parents to Elisabeth, 17, Olivia, 16, Noah, 13, Evangeline, 12, Tobias, 10, Agnes, six, Joseph, five, baby Flo, one, and two sets of twins – Charlotte and Isabelle, 15, and Leah and Erin, seven.
The bumper brood live in a six-bedroom house in Burghead, Moray, where they regularly document their hectic lives on social media.
And they’re all sharing the same bathroom while the second one is being decorated.
“This bathroom needs a clean, it’s minging”, Zoe insisted.
“This is the main bathroom we’re using at the moment for all 14 of us.
“We do have the downstairs bathroom but we’re not fully using it just yet because we haven’t decorated still.
“So yeah, this is the main one that everybody uses every day.
“We got back from holiday last week and since then to be honest I haven’t really done much in here at all so I’m going to give it a good clean today.”
She added: “I’ve used many, many, many, many, many different products over the years.
“I used to use Flash which is okay.
“I’ve tried so many. I’ve tried like own brand ones, Tesco ones, Asda ones, and Cillit Bang ones.”
But the supermum says a £1 buy from Home Bargains tops the lot.
Praising the Astonish bathroom cleaner, she said: “This one it’s like £1 from Home Bargains mainly, sometimes you can get it in B&M but mainly Home Bargains, and it’s the best stuff I’ve ever tried.
“For normal cleaning it’s brilliant, I love it. It’s the best one that I use.”
Astonish bosses insist their bargain buy makes “short work” of cleaning the tub, and the rest of the bathroom too.
It’s claimed to be tough on soap scum, watermarks and limescale, leaving customers with a “streak-free shine”.
Zoe revealed she aims to give the bathroom a “wipe down” clean using the spray every three to four days.
“But to be honest it could probably do with being done every single day”, she admitted.
“I haven’t got time to do that though. I’d literally be cleaning the bathroom all the time so I just try and do it every few days.”
The bathroom also contributes to a huge amount of the family’s laundry – with every person in the house having their own towel which is replaced once a week.
And Zoe said it can take three days to get them all washed and dried in the winter without being able to hang them outside.
But that’s not even the mum’s biggest complaint about cleaning the bathroom.
“My main nemesis in my bathroom is hair”, she said.
“Because obviously we have lots of girls with lots and lots of long hair.
“Hair is everywhere. We have to dig it out the drain every day.
“It’s hair on everything, on the carpet, it’s just all over the place.”
We told earlier how Zoe was mum-shamed for having a “messy and dirty” house.
She hit back at trolls insisting a pristine home is impossible with 14 people under one roof.
The dedicated mum cleans every single day and can always be seen in her YouTube videos carrying out chores and tidying.
Despite her best efforts, she revealed she is faced with hateful messages about the state of her home.
