I have found the worst B&M gift sets to save you money this Xmas – there’s a buy that’ll ruin your bath in seconds
A CASH-SAVVY shopper has listed the five gift sets to steer clear of when doing your Christmas shopping at B&M.
Although it’s just the start of November, many eager Christmas fans have already started looking for presents to put under the festive tree – and TikTok user Kathryn Leech is no exception.
Like many, she enjoys the odd trip to B&M – but although the discount retailer is often full of bargain deals, there are also a few gift sets she’d avoid wasting money on this Christmas.
The five worst sets
One such set, she recently revealed in a video posted on TikTok, was B&M’s Over the Rainbow Bath Fizzers that were selling for £3.50.
Whilst the price may seem like a total steal working out to under a quid per fizzer, she noted using them was basically asking for a messy bathroom.
”Glittery bath fizzers – honestly, it’s just gonna make your bath super dirty.
”You’re going to be cleaning that for days,” Kathryn told her followers in the clip.
Another buy she’d avoid snapping up was a Lip Balm Collection by the brand Barratt.
The set, which was selling for a fiver, came with five mini lip balms in different scents, such as Fruit Salad and Refreshers.
But as adorable as they might be, Kathryn was more concerned about the sheer volume of plastic packaging – something people have been advised to reduce to tackle the climate crisis.
”£5 for so much plastic,” the cash-savvy shopper added, sharing a snap of another lip balm set by the food giant Coca-Cola.
”Terrible products and not worth your money.”
Whilst shopping at the popular store, Kathryn stumbled across yet another lip balm set, this time in a cute glittery purse.
Sharing her thoughts on the £3.50 buy, the money-saving whizz warned: ”That glitter is gonna get everywhere, I wouldn’t even waste my money on it.”
Last but certainly not least, the TikTok star, who posts under the username @katsaves, also urged to save your cash and not buy their make-up brush sets – you can find better quality ones elsewhere.
The gift sets worth your money
But although there were some fails, Kathryn had also managed to find bargain buys worth checking out, including the Lynx anti-perspirant set for £7.99.
”I know we always make fun of those Lynx gift sets but they are good quality products.”
What’s more, the gift set, consisting of three items, is also a great bargain, as the real retail price is a whopping £14.50 – so you’re making some serious savings, cha-ching.
Another beauty buy to look out for is the Pampering Body Selection by Dove that’s going for £5.99.
The set (RRP £12) comes with all the skincare must-haves you need, including a body wash, a deodorant, as well as a rich lotion to keep your skin soft and glowy.
The brand has also launched a similar duo set for men, which is selling for £4.99 (RRP £9).
”I’d definitely say these are worth it,” Kathryn told fellow shoppers.
Other finds to check out are B.F.F. Bubblebath Set (£5), as well as Xmas Eve Luxury Hamper and Celebrations Hot Chocolate Set that was scanning at £6.49.
Meanwhile, if you know a coffee lover, the B&M fan urged to snap up a Barista Coffee Set, which comes with six different flavour coffees – and at just £5 per six cups, it’s a deal too good to sleep on.
