'Despicable': Former White House reporter compares Trump to Benedict Arnold
Trump's a traitor and more likely to find work on the street than notch the presidency, a former White House reporter argued on Tuesday.
Journalist Brian Karem is convinced that Trump will go down as un-American.
"He and his delusional followers will do anything to convince you he's a shoe-in when he's actually demented, devoid of ideas, delusional, disgustingly disingenuous, and a dreary, despicable, destructive douche whose name will become historically synonymous with Benedict Arnold," according to his post on Twitter/X.
Arnold was branded as the most notorious traitor to his country when as an American soldier he defected to the British side.
Karem was responding to network exec Mike Sington's tweet opining about a second Trump term involving hatching internment camps recalling the country's blemished past back in the 1940s when Japanese Americans were ordered to live in camps.
"If Trump wins a second term, he plans to round up millions of undocumented people in the US and put them in detention camps," he wrote.

Karem capitalized on the hypothetical.
"'IF' is the conditional word here," he wrote in the tweet. "I remain unconvinced Donald Trump will even be on the ballot next November.
"He's far more likely to be turning tricks on the street after losing most of his assets, or fighting to stay out of prison."
He continued: "Trump is an empty threat if you refuse to vote for his peculiar and destructive image of the Fascist Christian Nationalist States of America."
