The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 22nd November) Joseph on target for England U20's
Joseph on target for England U20's
Mateo Joseph was back on the score sheet as England U20's came from behind to beat their German counterparts 3-2 in Regensburg last night.
Not only was it Germany's first defeat of the U20 Elite European League but was also England's first points on the board. Whilst Joseph led the line for the Three Lion cubs, forgotten Leeds midfielder Darko Gyabi was also named in the starting line-up, on the left side of midfield.
Joseph's goal came in the 30th minute, cheekily back-heeling Sam Edozie's low cross, deceiving both defender and keeper, as the ball trickled over the line.
Independent Commission in place to rule on compensation claim
The same Independent Commission that docked Everton 10 points for breaching Financial Fair Play rules will decide whether Leeds, Leicester City and Burnley have a case for compensation.
The trio are suing Everton for £300m (£100m each) as they claim the Toffee's gained an unfair advantage through overspending, and will be hoping that Barrister David Phillips KC, Judge, His Honour Alan Greenwood, and Chartered Accountant Nick Igoe see things the same way.
In all honesty Leeds have a weaker case than the other two. The Whites only picked up a point against the Toffee's last season, but even had they beaten Everton home and away, they would still have gone down!
Whites feature heavily over the festive period
Sky Sports have made their picks over the festive period, and unsurprisingly, Leeds feature heavily.
A possible top of the table clash with Ipswich Town two days before Christmas is the obvious choice, and the Comcast group agree. It will still go ahead on the 23rd, but at the earlier time of 12.30pm.
Three days later (Boxing Day), the Sky Sports team will follow Leeds across the Pennines to Deepdale (Preston), for another lunchtime special, followed by an evening game at the Hawthorns (West Brom) on the 29th.
