Masterchef judge Gregg Wallace reveals heartbreak as beloved family member dies
MASTERCHEF judge Gregg Wallace has shared his heartbreak after revealing that his father-in-law has died.
The 59 year-old BBC personality, who has fronted the popular show for 19 years, shared the sad news on his social media yesterday.
Gregg posted: “Farewell Massimo Sterpini 1957 – 2023
my much loved father in law.”
He shared an image of Massimo, with his mother-in-law Rina, enjoying a glass of wine together.
Both Massimo and Rina, who are parents to Gregg’s wife Anna, lived with the couple and their four year-old son Sid in Kent and have since 2018.
Many rushed to the comments section to share their love.
One said: “My thoughts are with your wife and mother in law and you and all the family and friends at a very sad and heartbreaking time May he rest in paradise and shine bright in your hearts always.”
Another wrote: “Thinking of you all. .”
“Another taken too soon sending heart felt condolences to you all at this sad time x,” a third commented.
Gregg and Annie-Marie met back in 2013 and got engaged the following year.
They tied the knot at Hever Castle in Kent, on August 6, 2016.
The happy couple share a son called Sid, four.
Back in 2018 Gregg revealed that he had moved his in-laws.
He previously joked to the Daily Star: “Anne can’t leave me because mum would have to leave as well.
“For an insecure old man with a younger woman, that’s good news.”
In the coronavirus lockdown he confessed that he spent all day laughing with his mother-in-law, rather than his wife.
