Report: Juventus may not be able to afford winger recently linked with Spurs
In what comes as a potential boost to Tottenham in their rumoured pursuit of Jadon Sancho, The Daily Mail have revealed that Juventus might not be able to meet Manchester United’s asking price for the winger.
An exit from Old Trafford in January looks inevitable for Sancho, who has been training and eating on his own at Man Utd after failing to apologise for publicly disagreeing with Erik Ten Hag’s selection decision (Mirror).
Fichajes.net reported last month that Tottenham were monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation closely ahead of the January transfer window, with Ange Postecoglou alleged to be a fan of the winger
Last week Fabrizio Romano revealed that Juventus had also entered the race for Sancho’s signature, with the Serie A giants said to have asked about the player’s availability.
The Telegraph subsequently reported a few days ago that the England international is also attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.
Juventus may not be able to afford Jadon Sancho
The Mail have now revealed that while the Bianconeri are eyeing a move for Sancho, they are not likely to be able to afford a large transfer fee for the player.
The outlet adds that Borussia Dortmund have also expressed interest in re-signing the Man Utd star but his his £275,000-a-week wages could prove a stumbling block for the German side.
Finally, it is asserted that despite attracting interest from the Middle East, Sancho would prefer to stay in Europe for the time being.

Sancho’s £275,000 per week salary would be a stumbling block for Tottenham as well. I do not see the Lilywhites making the winger their highest-paid player. The 23-year-old would likely have to accept a wage cut unless he plans on moving to the Saudi Pro League.
