I’m A Celeb fans spot ‘producer favourite’ and ‘never seen before’ moment on show – did you see it?
I’M A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! fans have spotted a brand new feature which helped ‘producer favourite’ Fred Sirieix in his feud with Nella Rose.
First Dates star Fred, 51, was seen on the receiving end of 26-year-old YouTuber Nella’s fury last night following a campfire discussion.
Nella let rip at Fred and demanded he stay away from her after she “slept” on a comment he had made the previous night.
Fred had offended Nella – who has lost both her parents – by saying he was old enough to be her father.
But in a never-seen-before moment on I’m A Celebrity, producers aired a clip of Fred making the remark to her while cooking dinner in a ‘Last Night’ flashback.
This meant fans at home got to see exactly how the conversation had played out, with Fred telling Nella he could “be her dad” because of his age.
I’m A Celeb then flipped back to the present, with Nella saying: “I didn’t say anything about it last night because I was kind of just annoyed about it.
“So I slept on it and kind of thought about it thought, ‘This is not the kind of person I want to be around’.”
The clever editing meant viewers were able to make their own judgement on which star to back.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan wrote: “The fact that the #ImACeleb producers decided to show the previous nights footage (which I can’t remember happening ever) shows how out of line Nella was.
“If it wasn’t shown, and we took her at face value, the repercussions for Fred and his career could have been devastating.”
Another added: “ITV deserve some credit here, completely the right thing to do to show exactly what happened the night before.”
A third chimed in: “You know Nella Rose is in the wrong when #ImACeleb flashback to the night before… not seen them do that before, Fred needed backing and production came through.”
And a fourth also wrote: “Nella gets put in her place with a simple showing of what was said the night before by the production team.”
Hinting that the flashback was deliberately included to show Fred in a ‘favourable’ light, someone else said: “For real.. but she went so OTT – Fred didn’t mean it maliciously and he didn’t even know her history, so for her to blow up on him like that was mad.
“And couldn’t even accept an apology? chai! Even producers came to defend Fred with that playback clip.”
It had all kicked off between Fred and Nella as the celebs were shown waking up in Tuesday’s episode.
The camp faced a downpour of rain in the jungle and, as Fred attempted to keep up morale, he tried to offer rice to Nella but she rudely ignored him.
She was then seen explaining in the Bush Telegraph: “Last night after dinner Fred made a comment about him basically how he could be my dad.
“I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away.”
Fred was completely confused about Nella’s decision to ignore him so asked her outright why she was giving him the cold shoulder.
Nella explained: “So yesterday, when I wanted to burn fat that you were going to throw away, anyways, it’s not even something that we needed to survive in camp.
“You turned around to me, with an attitude and said, ‘You know I could be your dad, right?’
“To me, I don’t care how you said it to me, it’s disrespectful and I don’t want to talk to you.
“I don’t want to be around you. I only allow people to disrespect me once. You hurt my feelings. I was very upset… you keep trying to speak to me when I don’t want to speak to you.”
She added: “I would rather stay away from you, I don’t want to eat your food, I don’t want to talk to you. We can just live, you live on that side, I live on this side.”
Fred quickly apologised but seemed perplexed about how the figure of speech related to Nella’s own late-father.
And fans were unimpressed with Nella too.
The row has sparked a huge reaction online, with many thinking Nella has spoiled her chances of making it to the final.
