Corte Madera holiday turkey collects cans for needy

A giant turkey set up at the Town Center in Corte Madera serves as a repository for non-perishable canned food donations during the holiday season.

In its 31st year, the food drive is located between Il Fornaio restaurant and the Container Store. The food dropped off benefit families in need.

Donations are distributed by the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.

The event runs through Dec. 26.
