Car entering US from Canada EXPLODES on Niagara Falls’ Rainbow Bridge as FBI launch urgent probe
A CAR entering the US from Canada has exploded by a Niagra Falls checkpoint, sparking Governors to close all four international border crossings.
The horror blast involving the vehicle on Rainbow Bridge was reported on Wednesday afternoon, with the FBI now investigating.
It is currently unclear whether any injuries or fatalities took place.
The City of Niagara Falls says the explosion came from a car that was trying to enter the US from Canada.
The FBI is now investigating the origin of the blast.
In a statement, the field office said: “The FBI Buffalo Field Office is investigating a vehicle explosion at the Rainbow Bridge, a border crossing between the US and Canada in Niagara Falls.
“The FBI is coordinating with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners in this investigation.
“As this situation is very fluid, that’s all we can say at this time,” the bureau said.
In a statement, Governor Kathy Hochul said: “I’ve been briefed on the incident on the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls and we are closely monitoring the situation.
“State agencies are on site and ready to assist.”
