My two-ingredient mice repellent works wonders – best of all it costs a PENNY
ARE you struggling to get rid of pesky mice in your home? Have you tried every trick in the book to no avail?
One woman has shared her genius tip for getting rid of mice in her house using everyday household items.
Farmer Michelle Furtaw shared how she scares rodents away using just teabags and water.
In a video shared to TikTok, the woman, whose username is @michelle_furtaw placed a number of peppermint teabags in a pan of boiling water.
After the teabags had stewed for a while and cooled down a bit, Michelle placed some cheap plastic cups on the table and put one teabag in each cup.
She then placed the cups in different parts of her home such as inside cupboards or on shelves.
“Pour the remaining tea outside around your home”, she advised.
Replying to a comment under her video, Michelle explained that the mice hate the smell of the peppermint.
“It keeps them away and out”, she explained, “It works so good”.
“I just put two teabags in my outdoor shop and already I’m no longer seeing the two mice that were there”, she added.
The farmer said that she uses one cup per room, and only puts them in rooms she’s had issues in before.
She said she changes the cups once every two months, except in winter when she does it more often, as the mice “are trying to move in to the warmth”.
Viewers flocked to the comments to thank Michelle for her rodent repelling trick.
“I’m gonna have to do this”, said one TikTok user.
“Thanks for this tip”, said another.
However, not everyone was impressed.
“I must be doing something wrong because it’s not working for me”, one user said, adding a sad face emoji to her message.
