I live in a single hostel room with my 4 kids but trolls accuse me of faking my ‘struggling’ because I have fake nails
A WOMAN has hit back at trolls who claim she’s faking not having a lot of money.
Georgia Marie is a single mum-of-four who lives in a hostel with just one room after she requested emergency accommodation from her local council.
Despite her bumpy ride, Georgia tries to make the most of life and still enjoys the little things she can, like getting her nails done.
But as far some some cruel trolls are concerned that means she’s not as worse of as she thinks.
“Doesn’t look like she struggles to me, gets nails done and buys all branded foods! It’s a joke,” one person raged in the comment section of one of Georgia’s TikTok.
The busy mum hit back at the haters, defended getting her nails done and showed off the inside of her food cupboards to prove nothing she buys is overly expensive.
Most of the grub she showed in the video is from supermarket own brands, including bargain pasta, cheap rice and basic butter.
“I’ve got some pasta here, as you can see it’s Morrisons brand, not sure what brand of pasta you want me to buy, next time I’ll pick up Gucci while I’m at it,” Georgia said.
Next she pulled up a bag of basmati rice, “This is is Aldi‘s finest but it might have a bit of Versace in there, not sure,” she joked.
The rest of her grub was also on the cheaper side, including Asda‘s own butter and cereal, plus Aldi’s sweet and sour sauce.
“I’m not really sure what you want me to buy,” she added.
And in defence of getting her nails done the mum doesn’t see it as an issue.
“It’s one of the things that makes me happy,” she said, “I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t have those kinds of habits so Instead I’d like to get my nails done, I hope that’s alright with you.”
Georgia said she doesn’t blame anyone else for her financial struggles, but doesn’t understand why people would say she is faking it.
To get the help she needs the mum-of-for was given some food from her son’s nursery, even though she told them she didn’t want it because she has enough basics to get through.
“They were adamant that I took it and they remind me daily that even though you might be doing ok, but this just makes it that little bit easier,” she explained.
The generous mum even gave one of the bags of food to a neighbour in the hostel she lives in to help them out as well.
Georgia’s own mum even helps out the other families in the hostel and gives them extra food when she has it.
“Don’t come for me and tell me I’m not struggling, yes there might be some weeks I don’t struggle, thank you god, who wants to struggle?
“But there are some weeks I do struggle , I kind of live day-to-day. Most people in food banks are working people, not people on benefits,” she said.
Other people praised the mum for being so honest about her situation and still helping others when she can.
One said: “People with the least are the most generous and you prove that, ignore the haters babe.”
A second agreed: “No need to justify yourself, you’re amazing!”
“Things will get better, keep your chin up,” another wrote.
