Two hurt in Moore shooting; One person detained
UPDATE: 9:50 PM -- Two people were shot and sent to the hospital Thanksgiving night following a shooting. One person is detained. "The person that I know that was involved ended up getting grazed in the head. All is good that we know right now," said Blake Bray, who knows one of the victims.
Moore police said just after 5:30 Thursday night, two people got into an argument outside the Copper Place Apartments on Nottingham Way.
"We know that some of the subjects lived in the homes here on the west side of Nottingham. And then one of the people involved lives in the apartment complex," said Clint Byley, PIO Moore Police Department.
Investigators said at some point during the argument, gunfire started. A stray bullet even hit a window at the apartments.
"We have a big area taped off back over there in that corner there. In that area, we have a scene where it looks like there's some blood splatter," said Byley.
They said one man was hit in the head, the other man was shot in the arm.
"It's messed up because it makes you feel unsafe. It makes you, you know, all these people who live here. You there's people standing around taking videos. They don't feel safe in their homes anymore," said Bray.
A Thanksgiving night cut short for neighbors in Moore.
"I just wanna say it's disgusting, you know, the kind of culture that's going on right now where people lose a fight and they pull out their weapon immediately or people get into a scuffle," said Bray.
