High school basketball: Season heats up immediately at O’Dowd, Dublin showcases

The high school basketball season starts this weekend with two showcases at East Bay schools.

Gerry Frietas has put together another superb lineup in his NorCal Tip-Off Classic, held at Dublin High for the past couple of seasons after a long run at Newark Memorial.

And like last season, Bishop O’Dowd will have a solid group playing in its Thanksgiving Showcase.
