Two dead after CT crash; three children injured after vehicle strikes trees
Two adults died and three children suffered injuries in a serious crash in Bristol Thursday night, police said.
The crash was reported shortly after 7 p.m. on Stevens Street, in the area of Morea Road, where police officers responded to the report of a serious motor vehicle crash, according to Lt. Patrick Krajewski of the Bristol Police Department.
The vehicle was traveling west on Morea Road in Farmington before crossing into Bristol on Stevens Street, police said. When officers arrived on scene, they found the vehicle had left the roadway and had hit a sign and some trees before coming to stop in a wooded area, according to Bristol police.
Bristol police, fire, and EMS personnel responded to the scene, where the first officers to arrive found two adults had died and three children were injured in the vehicle. Bystanders and first responders provided medical aid and the fire department had to extricate some of the occupants.
All of the children were transported to area hospitals.
The Bristol Police Department is working with several agencies to identify the victims.
