I’m midsize, I ordered a zip-up jumpsuit in large and it failed me in the most predictable but maddening way
A MIDSIZE fashionista has vented her rage after suffering a very relatable online shopping failure.
She ordered a stylish zip-up denim jumpsuit from a popular women’s wear retailer for a try-on haul.
Jade (@bella.inizio) boasts almost 271,000 followers on Tikok, where she shares outfit inspiration for midsize women.
She wears a size 8/10 in clothing and stands at 5ft 4ins.
She took to the social media platform to show the realities of shopping online rather than trying on clothes in-store before purchase.
“POV: You’re a midsize girly online shopping,” read the text over the video.
The trendsetter stood wearing a denim jumpsuit that she couldn’t zip up no matter how much she tried to squeeze it together.
She wriggled and pulled on the fabric which seemed to have no stretch.
“Tell me you’re a midsize girl without telling me you’re a midsize girl shopping online,” Jade said.
“This makes me so mad. This is a large and there is absolutely no way.
“There is just no way,” she sighed.
She captioned the post trying to encourage her followers that they shouldn’t feel disheartened if their clothes don’t fit.
“Your reminder that it’s not us, it’s the clothes. They’re meant to fit us, not the other way around,” she wrote.
The video went viral with over 192,000 views and 5,500 likes.
Many viewers took to the comment section complimenting Jade and reassuring her that she has an “amazing” figure.
“You look perfect. That’s how body dysmorphia can start if someone is not very self-confident,” one wrote.
“That’s why I always have to read reviews and find pictures of people who have my similar body,” another said.
“Gorgeous I wish I had your shape! Screw the clothes if I looked like you I’d just be walking in undies everywhere,” a third chimed in.
“Tell me about it. I’m mostly a medium sometimes an S or L, but if a clothing item fits very weird XL. I have XL jeans,” a fourth commented.
“I have the same jumpsuit from Pull & Bear, I had the exact same problem! Had to size up like three sizes! So frustrating,” another added.
