Dow Jones gains 41 points as Wall Street closes mixed

NEW YORK, New York - U.S. stocks closed mixed on Monday following on from last week's volatility.

"Digestion is the word of the day," Tom Hainlin, senior investment strategist at U.S. Bank Asset Management told CNBC Monday.

"The sectors that are down today are basically the ones that carried the market for the better part of 11 months."
