I’m A Celeb star Nigel Farage’s team slam ITV for politician’s air time AGAIN saying ‘you probably missed him’
NIGEL Farage’s team have complained about his lack of air time in last night’s episode.
The politician is said to be getting paid £65k a day and he’s made no secret of wanting to get nominated for trials, because he thinks it guarantees 25% of the air time.
But fans think he’s been noticeably absent in recent days – and his camp aren’t happy about it either.
They commented on X last night: “Apologies to all the ITV viewers who blinked between 9pm-10:20pm this evening.. You probably missed Nigel.”
Alongside their scathing commented they mocked up a picture of him on Crimewatch.
Sources previously claimed that Nigel wasn’t getting airtime because he is “boring and talks about politics too much.”
An insider told The Mirror: “People I know working on the show think Farage is one of the least interesting campmates ever.
“He is very boring and producers have struggled with fun storylines to show a different side to him.
“He’s good for Brexit and culture wars stuff, but outside of that, the local wildlife is more entertaining than he is.
“One example is a few of them were talking about their favourite movies and he couldn’t come up with a single one! Politics is his life and basically outside of that he’s got no personality.”
Nigel has raised eyebrows in the jungle by revealing his gameplan.
He told food critic Grace Dent early on: “If you do the challenges, it’s 25% of the airtime. I’m looking at reaching a whole new audience.”
But the public soon stopped voting for him, and some fans thought he wanted to create conflict instead to get airtime.
In one episode he challenged Nella about cultural appropriation, which many believed was intentional.
Despite the row, Nella appeared cordial with the Ukip leader soon after – and his pals accused the ITV show of giving her a pep talk.
A friend of Nigel told the Sun: “It was obvious to everyone that Nella had a sudden personality transplant almost overnight.
“Nigel is just being his authentic self whilst reports now suggest some contestants are being advised by the production team.
“We are watching this very closely as we believe it breaks ITV’s own rules – how many other celebrities are getting preferential treatment?”
