Love Island feud confirmed as Ella Thomas admits she’s ‘no longer’ friends with villa pal after huge row
FORMER Love Island’s Ella Thomas has said she’s no longer friends with Whitney.
The pair both competed in the 2023 summer edition of the hit ITV2 dating show, where they formed a sort of friendship in the villa.
However, it seems their bonds have seemingly broken down since leaving Love Island.
But Ella, 23, has finally sett he record straight as she spoke to TV presenter Zeze Millz on her podcast.
On the audio show, she addressed the drama around the pair as speculation continues to mount about the state of her friendship with Whitney Adebayo, 25.
The star knows how to rationalise the actions of her acquaintance as she admitted: “I’m the youngest in my family, she’s the youngest in her family.
“So it was like some of the stuff you do, I get it because I do the same thing and she knows that.
“So that wasn’t me coming for her whatsoever”
The host then asked her how the pair are doing now despite the drama, to which Ella played down their bond.
“Yeah cool, no issue,” she explained. “But like, not really as close as we were in the villa.
The host then brought up previous drama where Whitney previously spoke about Ella on a podcast that Ella and her partner Tyrique Hyde seemingly didn’t approve of.
“To be fair, we’ve not had any altercations, like nothing bad’s happened.
“Nothing bad’s been said to each other it’s just, I’m super busy since coming out, she’s super busy since coming out.
“Like obviously when you are in there, you have all these frame checks, because you spend 24/7 together, but when you come out you get on with your life.
“I’ve got all my friends from before then.”
Ella previously adressed a rumoured falling out between the former best friends.
When asked about the current dynamic, Ella said: “I think since coming out I’ve just been so busy with everything.”
“In there, we spent so much time together so we could be that close but when you get out, everyone’s kind of busy doing their own thing.”
She added to Goss.ie: “So I wouldn’t say we’re as close as we were back then, but if I see any of the girls out I’ll always say ‘hey’ and catch up.”
It was also reported that she and Tyrique are also on the rocks as a couple as they struggle to cope with the pressures of social media.
Speaking on Capital Xtra, Tyrique admitted: “Our relationship is between us, what goes on behind closed doors, it’s only us two.
“But people like to put in their little input in the DMs sometimes, in the request on the social media. It’s jarring.
“Obviously first relationship is hard because I’m not used to it but it’s going well, I’m enjoying it and I’m learning on the job sort of thing.
“But like you said – a lot of people is involved in it.”
He added: “It’s definitely more difficult when a lot of people are involved in your relationship, especially when it’s your first one.
