Student, 15, stabbed in Brooklyn high school: NYPD
MIDWOOD, Brooklyn (PIX11) --- A 15-year-old student was stabbed in a Brooklyn high school Tuesday morning, police said.
The teen was attacked on the third floor of Edward R. Murrow High School at 1600 Avenue L in Midwood at around 9:20 a.m., authorities said.
The boy was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries, police said.
The suspect fled the scene. There have been no arrests.
The building was placed in a brief lockdown following the incident, according to a DOE spokesperson.
“The safety and wellbeing of our students is our absolute top priority. Following an incident in the school, NYPD School Safety immediately responded, and NYPD and EMS are on site," the spokesperson said.
