When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle first moved to Montecito, everyone was excited for the royals to set up shop in the US. But over time, it’s seemed as though Montecito residents haven’t been too thrilled with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s actions. This notion became abundantly clear when reports came out that the local bookstores had been halting orders for Omid Scobie’s book Endgame.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield told GB News that the book has painted Harry and Meghan in a new light, and the Montecito community isn’t a fan. In fact, Montecito bookstores have reportedly refused to shelve Endgame after the royal racists were named.

“So the headlines are here. However, in Montecito, it seems like Harry and Meghan’s star has fallen quite a bit. Montecito bookstores are refusing – I shouldn’t say refusing, there’s just no interest in Endgame,” Schofield said. “This is from the Times, my friend Kieran Southern breaking this story that Montecito bookstores are not covering Endgame, that Montecito neighbours are uninterested and appalled by the way that Harry and Megan are not respecting their elders and it seems like they’re being very cruel towards their family members.”

She added, “So a lot of the neighbourhood saying that they are uninterested in the Sussexes and don’t respect them or appreciate the way that they’ve treated their family.”

So it seems that the Sussexes may have an even harder time for a comeback, especially after this Endgame debacle.
