I’m a millionaire doing a job no one wants to do – it requires no experience and I even get to travel the world for free
THERE is nothing wrong with a hard day’s work, but most of us will avoid manual labour if we can help it.
For Auri Kananen though, getting down and dirty is just another day at the office for her.
Whilst most of us struggle to clean up after ourselves, this domestic goddess helps makeover some of the world’s dirtiest homes.
If that weren’t impressive enough, the Scandi cleaner has amassed a huge following on social media after she’s shared her incredible results.
Giving Kim Woodburn a run for her money, Auri has repeatedly broken the internet with her videos – despite only beginning to make content three years ago.
Though of us were afraid to get our hands dirty in 2020, she decided to leading a helping hand to the most vulnerable during the pandemic.
Despite already working as a cleaning supervisor, Auri began making over the homes of horders, as well as those with mobility and mental health issues for free.
Though many clean freaks might have shuddered at the daunting task, Auri told the Mirror that she is never happier than when she has a sponge in her hand.
She said: “Cleaning is fun – the best thing ever. I absolutely love it. It makes me feel satisfied. Happy, very relaxed – like my life is complete.”
Continuing, Auri added: “I love my job. It is super satisfying when you can wipe a thick layer of dust.
“It’s just the best feeling ever. I’m chasing this feeling week after week and I’m always trying to find dirtier and dirtier houses.”
Armed with plenty of anti bac spray and her sunny personality, Auri’s passion would help her launch a thriving cleaning business.
Now, she is better known as @aurikatariina, has over 10 million followers on Tiktok and a bank account to match at just 30.
Despite having millions in the bank, the young woman insists that internet stardom and brand deals haven’t affected her.
Auri explained: “The money didn’t change who I am, I just love cleaning and sharing it with the world.”
During a previous video, featuring a woman suffering from debilitating depression, Auri wrote in the caption: “I respect everybody who is brave enough to ask for help.”
It is unsurprising as Auri also battled depression as a teen, with the businesswoman explaining that she can often empathise with the people she cleans for.
She said: “I can relate to these people who need help because I have felt like they have before, so it feels really good that I can help these people out at no expense.”
Keen to help as many people as she can, the cleaner has even travelled to Switzerland, the US and even the UK just so she can make over homes for free.
Often, it is loved ones who ask for the expert’s help and many hope that Auri can provide the fresh start many of her clients so desperately need.
Hopefully, the domestic goddess can help even more people achieve their dream home in the years to come.
