The partnership means there will be a “long-term lease on eight acres of land,” that are now unused on the Bradley International Airport property, according to CAA.
Further, Sky Harbour will invest $30M to build a multi-hangar campus and associated services, according to CAA.
“As we diversify our partner portfolio and bolster aviation activity at Bradley International Airport, we are pleased to have partnered with Sky Harbour Group to drive further growth at the airport,” said Kevin A. Dillon, executive director of the CAA, in an emailed statement.
“Their multi-million-dollar private investment will benefit our region for years to come, by creating jobs and making our airport even more attractive to the corporate and private aviation market.”
The CAA noted that Sky Harbour Group Corp. is an “aviation infrastructure company developing the first nationwide network of home basing campuses for business aircraft.
“The company develops, leases and manages general aviation hangars across the United States. Sky Harbour’s home-basing offering aims to provide private and corporate customers with the best physical infrastructure in business aviation, coupled with dedicated service tailored to based aircraft, offering the shortest time to wheels-up in business aviation,” according to CAA.
