Julian Edelman revealed Michael Jordan wasted no time pressuring him over Super Bowl 49 bet
Once upon a time, amid their historic run of success with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, the New England Patriots were one of the NFL’s best bets. If you wanted to make money wagering on a big professional football the Patriots were involved in, they’d usually deliver.
As Julian Edelman explained in a new episode of his podcast Games With Names, even Michael Jordan understood the Patriots were a safe bet. And yet Jordan still wanted to ensure he could protect his investment.
Per Edelman, the former Patriots receiver ran into Jordan a little before the Patriots took on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 49. After exchanging pleasantries, Jordan bluntly told Edelman not to “[expletive] it up.” Because of course he did. You can hear this sequence start at 12:53 below.

What a classic Jordan story. What a classic Patriots story, who ended up delivering for Jordan by winning that Super Bowl. It was never in doubt. (OK, yes it was. Thanks, Pete Carroll!)
