My Christmas tree napkin-folding trick is so easy and an extra cute way to dress up your holiday table
THINKING about all the Christmas parties coming up, a hosting expert shared her favorite way to lean into the holiday with your tablescape.
It’s easy to do and won’t cost you much.
TikToker and mom Deb Trette (@myfourwonders) is a DIY lover and decorating pro who is sharing her “cute holiday ideas” with followers.
In one clip, she revealed one of her favorite tricks to elevate her holiday dining table.
She creates mini Christmas trees with fabric napkins and a bow.
To do so, begin by folding your napkin in half, both the long way and short way to create a perfect square.
Then, pull each layer of fabric from one of the bottom corners and bring it to the center, flipping each over one at a time so that they are stacked atop each other with a border on each.
Turn the napkin over and then bring the two bottom corners into the middle
Finally, fold the triangles upwards and tuck them in to each other.
Once the tree has its shape, you simply take a ribbon – Deb opted for a pink velvet one from Target – tie it into a bow and place it as a tree topper.
“An easy and extra cute way to fold a napkin into a tree for your Christmas tablescape,” she began.
“Just add a pop of color with a velvet ribbon.”
Viewers appreciated the charming DIY.
“Oh, that is darling with the pink ribbon!” one gushed, with a second echoing, “The pink ribbon is the extra touch making it perfect.”
