Jimmy Butler to miss Heat’s road game against Magic on Wednesday

MIAMI — The Heat just returned key players Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro to the starting lineup after extended injury absences, but they will be without another star on Wednesday.

Forward Jimmy Butler will miss Miami’s Wednesday night road game against Orlando with a left calf strain, the Heat announced Tuesday.

Butler suffered the injury during Miami’s loss to Minnesota on Monday night. He played 34 minutes in the loss, scoring 15 points with five rebounds and five assists.

Butler has played in 23 games this season, averaging 21.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists.

Forward Kevin Love also did not practice on Tuesday. He is dealing with a stomach illness, according to the Heat, and his status for Wednesday’s game is still to be determined.
