The Knicks are favored to land Bronny James (if the Lakers don't)
USC freshman Bronny James has played in just two contests this season after coming back from a cardiac arrest in July.
The 6-foot-4 guard is averaging 4.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and one assist so far — though his highlights have certainly been noteworthy.
It’s really anyone’s guess right now if he’ll be a one-and-done player in college basketball. He hasn’t proven much on the floor, but his father, LeBron James, has made it clear he intends to play with his son in the NBA and his career is already nearing the final chapters.
So whether or not he’s the best prospect available, there may be some teams willing to take a chance on Bronny to lure his dad to their franchise.
That is, of course, if the Lakers don’t select him before anyone else can. As of Tuesday, that’s still the most likely outcome according to oddsmakers at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Los Angeles is +600 to draft Bronny James this summer. Followed by the New York Knicks (+900), Oklahoma City Thunder (+1000) and Cleveland Cavalier (+1000).
The Los Angeles Clippers have the third-best odds at +1500.

It’s surely worth noting that Bronny does not currently appear on some of the most notable mock drafts at this point in the year.
For The Win’s Bryan Kalbrosky did not list Bronny James in his most-recent mock draft. Neither did The Athletic‘s Sam Vecenie on his updated big board. He’s not on ESPN’s, either.
There is still a long way to go from now until draft night and plenty of things can change. But these odds will be worth watching as we get closer to the draft.
Especially, if teams start to believe drafting Bronny will also land them LeBron.
