My nasty bathtub was dirtier than usual – I cleaned it in 5 minutes with a ‘powerhouse’ $20 Amazon tool
AFTER realizing how gross her bathtub was, a cleaning expert got to work.
She took it from grimey and muddy to sparkling white using her favorite $20 tool from Amazon.
TikToker Shelby Wright (@itsshelbywright) is a lifestyle and cleaning influencer who has an affinity for Amazon.
In one clip, she combined her passions to reveal how she quickly deep cleans her bathroom with a product she bought from the online retailer.
“I’m going to show you how I got my bathroom from this to this in less than five minutes,” she said, comparing a video in which the tub was covered in black dirt to one where it sparkled white.
Although she was a bit embarrassed to show the internet her “nasty bathtub,” she explained that it was due to living by a sandy beach that she frequents.
To begin cleaning, she first let the water run a bit so that the surface was wet, then poured baking soda and Pine Sol on top so that the whole thing was covered.
“I take my new favorite scrubber brush,” she said, whipping out the $20 cordless electric spin scrubber.
“This thing is a powerhouse. I cannot believe how well it actually works.”
She held the machine and let it run across the tub’s surface.
“Even the low setting is extremely strong and I barely had to press it in at all, which made it so easy to scrub off all the dirt that’s already built up deep in my bathtub.”
While she used to use a scrub daddy to clean her shower every week, she switched to the electric scrubber after finding that it worked better.
“It’s revolutionary because it has eight different heads you can choose from.”
She said those people who like to deep clean should make the purchase.
“I could not recommend it more,” she said, noting the “strong and sturdy” quality of the bristles.
For the sides of the tub, she sprayed more water and baking soda before using the brush to scrub some more, getting every crevice.
“We’re also going to do the baseboard and the side of the bathtub, which I never think to clean,” she said.
“The place that you go to bathe should be pretty clean.”
